Carl, a volunteer from Germany, moving our coral specimens out of the old cabinets to make way for the new! We had to work in batches as there was no space to move out the entire collection.

Strapped for space, corals were stored temporarily on an office floor until the old cabinets could be moved out of the collection room

Because we had no space to move the corals, the movers had to move the old cabinets out of the coral collection space in bits and pieces.

The Lift

Finally, all the old cabinets were moved out of the coral collection space and the coral pieces safely put into the cabinets with new locks.

And, the Delta Cabinet makers and installers arrived to install new cabinets in our freshly tiled and painted Vault 8 coral collection space on April 12.
